In *Crucifixion*, a white and black garment hangs against a saturated blue ground. No body is visible. Small red marks interrupt the surrounding space, while a larger red passage descends toward the garment from above. Painted in 2021, this work approaches the theme of crucifixion through absence rather than a literal depiction of the cross. The empty garment suggests a human presence that has vanished, leaving the viewer with traces of pain, vulnerability and remembrance. Its stark composition and intense color give a familiar subject a quiet, unsettling form.
